You can improve your memory by following a strict regimen of regular exercise along with a healthy diet and taking daily dose of omega 3. You should include cold water fish, such as salmon and trout in your diet along with leafy green vegetables, walnuts, blue berries, and green tea to help keep your brain healthy.

DHA is the chief requirement of a healthy brain. But the main question is that where can you find the DHA. You cannot not make it in your own body. We get it from the foods we eat, such as salmon, or through Omega 3 supplements. There is an overdose of junk food, processed food, potato chips etc in our diet that there is a possible lack of DHA in the brain.

Our human brain consists of up to 60% fat content. Our brain need to be nourished with omega 3 fatty acids to improve the memory. Lack of this type of fat in the brain could result in forgetfulness and the loss of focus

With the ageing process, there is a definite decline of memory. Our cognitive skills decrease and seems we all complain about mild memory lapses. One of the most common complaints is, why did I come in here? Not able to recollect why you came inside the room. What you planned on doing once you got there. This could be the first symptoms of dementia. After attaining the age of 65 years your chances of developing dementia doubles every five years.

In a study, the healthy adults suffering from age related cognitive problems were given supplements of omega 3, containing DHA, for 6 months . These adults showed improved memory function.

Omega 3 has been found to both help you feel better and give you a better memory. The brain needs high levels of DHA in order to function properly, to develop and to grow. Without DHA, your brain will malfunction and memory loss will occur.

Our population around the world is increasing in age. We need to protect the aged from the dreaded Alzheimer's disease. If we start incorporating omega 3 in the diet from the young age, they will not feel themselves to be a burden on the family or society later in life. To be able to function for many years more on their own. We need to give them a happy sunset of their lives.

For those who are not so old, you should make sure that you are getting enough omega 3 in your diet. There are many other benefits along with a reward of a long life by including it in your diet. Get omega 3 supplements at your local pharmacy or natural food store.
