Cyrus Broacha was born in 7th august 1971 to a Parsi father and Catholic mother. He completed his schooling from The Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai and later joined St. Xavier College, Mumbai.

Cyrus has a great passion for theater. After completing his graduation from St. Xavier College, Mumbai, Cyrus went to the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York for further studies in acting for theater. He has acted in over 20 commercial theater productions.

Cyrus started his career at MTV India with a campus talk show, MTVU. He has interviewed many celebrities from Bollywood for MTV. Cyrus is also popular for the candid camera show that he hosted, named MTV BAKRA. He has also acted in some films from the Mtv fully faltu a series of hilarious spoofs of some popular Bollywood films.

Cyrus has also been MTV International ambassador for AIDS Awareness. His involvement with MTV and UNAIDS had him interviewing international celebrities like Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and Colin Powell.

Bollywood Actor Cyrus first appeared on the silver screen in Pankaj Parashar film Jalwa (1987) at a young age of 12. The film also starred Naseeruddin Shah. After Jalwa (1987), Cyrus career took a turn and he went on to become a Radio Jockey and a VJ on MTV India, later.

In the year 2008, Sooni Taraporevala, a Parsi director made a film named Little zizou (2008). The film was an account of a little Parsi boy, Zizou, and told a story of his views about the Parsi community in modern day Mumbai.

The film starred many Parsi actors including Boman Irani, John Abraham, Kurush Deboo, Dilshad Patel, Immanuddin Shah and Sohrab Ardeshir. Cyrus did a small character in this film.

In the year 2009, Cyrus got more attracted towards films and starred in 2 Bollywood films. 99 (2009), directed by Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru, was an original film inspired by true events. The story revolves around two conmen, who get caught in a huge debt of a cricket bookie while trying to make big money.

Cyrus played one of the lead characters, Zaramud in this film along with Kunal Khemu, Boman Irani, Soha Ali Khan, Simone Singh, Mahesh Manjrekar and Vinod Khanna.

Followed by 99 (2009), Cyrus starred in a lead role in Kunal Vijaykar comedy film FRUIT & NUT (2009) opposite Dia Mirza along with Boman Irani and Mahesh Manjrekar. The film was bashed by the critics and was labeled as lapstick. It also failed to perform at Box office.

Cyrus Broacha is married to Ayesha, who is a Photographer. The couple has a son, Mikhaail and a daughter, Maaya.
