In August, Mr. Chris Evans, the Skill Senator visited India to discuss the education, training and research collaboration opportunities between these two countries which actually helped strengthening the bilateral ties between India and Australia. Both these governments have introduced a series of latest exchange schemes for educationists and principals of colleges, along with a fresh website to encourage effective collaboration in education and training.
Jacinta Collins, the Senator said that by 2017, through professional educational and training programs, India will be able to increase the number of its skilled workers from the 12% to 25%. The Senator also expressed that Australia wants to help India in achieve its objective. In order to do so, companies and providers have started developing low priced quality training models of Australia in India.
According to the Senator, Jacinta Collins, these measures will support the latest reforms to increase integrity of the student visa program of Australia. She also said that these measures are expected to focus again on the skilled migration scheme of Australia to provider the required higher skills in the country.
The Government of Australian presently offers ways to streamline the global education sector. It includes strict controls on provider, International Students Strategy and extending the Commonwealth Ombudsman role to solve the complaints against the private providers by international students.
