Spears was credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s.
The Princess of Pop is no stranger to breaking records and she's done it again! Britney Spears has become the first person in Twitter history to reach 5 million followers. Ashton Kutcher was the first person to reach a million fans and remained on top until Brit Brit dethroned him.
The songstress expressed her excitement by tweeting, "WOW!!!!! #1 on Twitter! Thank youThis is really amazing! I love you all! I better get busy writing 4,947,608 thank you notes! U guys make me sooo happy!"
Brit thanked her fans by doing a Q&A on her Twitter page. Her followers bombarded her with questions about her tour, favorite "Sex and the City" character, and who she would like to collaborate with musically. The singer responded to quite a few of their inquiries.
There is no question that the pop star has always kept the attention of her fans but it is a little surprising that she has so many followers on Twitter. She tweets very sporadically most of the time it's her manager Adam tweeting for her and his comments are not exactly the most interesting to read. Britney is a remarkable entertainer and that is all that matters to her followers. Congrats girl!
