The most popular DJs of Ukraine, Russia and other European countries come to KaZantip, where all days and nights long during a month you can enjoy disco-parties, sports activities, cinema and other entertainments. People coming to KaZantip get into a fabulous town where they have fun, relax, sunbath, swim, enjoy parties non-stop, meeting lots of young dynamic people, drinking cocktails and feel an amazing atmosphere of fun and happiness.
At the entrance to KaZantip you have to buy a "viza" a plastic card that confirms your belonging to the Great Folk of KaZantip, which will include your photo taken right there and a personal number, so it can be used only by one person. Vizas can be sold for the whole month or just for one-time visits, the prices will be known a week before the opening, but last year the whole-months-visas cost about 1500 grivnyas depending on time when they are bought (for opening and closing parties their prices rise).
From 25.07 to 23.08.2010, in the Crimea, the territory will be Popivka traditional, annual festival of dance music - Kazantip or, as it is now called the Republic of Z. This is one of the most ambitious projects taking place on the Crimean peninsula. On the territory of the Republic of Z, a huge beach, located more than ten different dance floors, about 25 bars and shops with souvenirs, internet cafes, sports facilities, tattoo parlors and body art salons. Each dance floor and each bar differ own styles of music, design, and the range of prices and drinks. The main idea of the festival - to bring together the most beautiful, intelligent and funny people on the planet. As a real republic, Kazantip is not only its own territory, but also the president, government, national anthem and national symbols. But the main asset of Z is music that is "done" around the clock the most famous and trendy DJs Ukraine and Russia from beginners and ending with the dinosaurs of electronic music.
The "Republic of KaZantip" is not really a separate country, but visiting here requires "Special Visa or multipass", which is similar to an entrance ticket. By buying this visa, you automatically become an official citizen of the Republic of KaZantip. This visa is issued at the Visa Department. They will take your picture and put your information in database of the citizens of the Republic of KaZantip. You will receive the plastic card with an bar code on it. If you lose the card you can always get it replaced by and saying your first name and second name, and paying a sort of fine. No one is allowed to use your visa except you. Once the terminal scans your bar code, you are ready to rock and roll but be careful, otherwise you might lose your money, passport, sun glasses, phone, underwear as well as your head and mind.
There are two types of visas. A One-Time visa gives you the right to enter the Republic of KaZantip. With this One-Time visa, you may cross the border of the Republic of Kazantip, breathing the air of freedom. You will meet friends you have not seen for the whole year. You can lie on the beach, meet a special girl or boy, swim in the warm sea, enjoy drinking in the local bars, and even talk to the President. You will see the beautiful sunset, and hear well-known DJs. Actually you can stay inside for a long time with your One-Time Visa as long as you don't cross the border of KaZantip.
The multipass/multiple Visas are valid for the whole season and give you the right to enter and leave the "The Republic" as often as you wish.
If you buy in advance, the approximate price for One-Time visa is $70 US. A Multiple-Visa is $160 US. Obviously it's cheaper to buy a Multiple-Visa if you stay in KaZantip for more than two days. If you purchase your visa on the day of your arrival, you may be charged more. If you would like to attend KaZantip on the opening day, we advise to come a day earlier, so that you can get your visa on the day before and avoid the long lines (sometimes 5 hours long!).
In the local towns of Popovka and Mirnoe (the latter is nearby, too) there is a number of lodging complexes, guesthouses and apartments that can be rented. The prices are different depending on accommodation type and class, location etc. Budget options begin at $25-30/person per night. Take a look at a choice of accommodation options located in the immediate vicinity to KaZantip.
There are plenty offers which try to rent you rooms far away from the KaZantip areal. So be carefully if you do not want to spend all your money for transportation costs.
