subject: What is Dianabol? [print this page]

Dianabol is the commonly used name for the androgenic anabolic steroid Methandienone. Dianabol was the first oral steroid manufactured and has since become the most popular mainly because of its fast gains, in other words you gain weight and muscle mass very quickly with this steroid. It is usually used at the start of a steroid cycle because most other steroids take longer to see any gains so this kick starts the cycle. A recommended dosage would be about 30mg's per day for around 4 to 5 weeks although some bodybuilders will use a much higher dose and run it for a longer time. It is recommended to use an anti-estrogen while on dianabol to stop the build up of estrogen which in turn can cause gynocomastia (tits) which you don't want!

A commonly used anti-estrogen would be nolvadex or clomid or both, Armidex (anastrozole) is probably the best but is rather on the expensive side compared to these two.

Dianabol is also popular because it can be stacked with with most other anabolic steroids whether it be for bulking up or cutting but it can be (hepactic) bad for the liver which is why it is only used for a short amount of time plus the fact that the other steroid/steroids in your stack will have kicked in by then.

There are many different brands of Dianabol with the version by British Dispensary (thailand) being one of the most popular. Also gaining a name in recent years is Danabol DS by Body Research which comes in blue heart shaped pills (blue hearts) with 500 x 10mg tablets per tub.
