Most food we eat contains fat elements, or calories and carbohydrates that will result in fat build up. Most unadvised approach will be to eat once a day or starve ones self. But why starve, why hurt the body whose health should be our primary concern? To lose fat. The mosted tested and effective method is to diet and off course exercise
The Kind or type of food we eat makes plenty of difference to our body's energy levels. Most food groups contain either simple or complex carbohydrate which gets converted to energy. Simple carbohydrates get absorbed quickly, while complex ones breakdown gradually. Hence, excess energy from simple carbohydrates gets stored as fats. Over time, these fats begin to accumulate around the abdomen and other parts of the body leading to quite a number of health complications. An ideal meal would be more of high fiber complex foods combined with a lesser level of simple carbohydrates food. Eating fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs whites, whole cereal products, low fat milk and milk products, and plenty of white meat will give one the right balance of nutrients. Read more on fat loss.
Apart from eating well, eating on time is equally important for reducing body fat. Meals should be broken down into five meals; three main (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and two smaller meals (11:00 am and 17:00 pm snacks). This way the body can get an adequate supply of nutrition throughout the day. Of all major three meal, breakfast is extremely important, no matter how hectic the mornings may be. Going without breakfast is like driving a car without fuel as breakfast is needed to pump fuel in the body that has not received any food in six to eight hours been the night time of rest. A lunch and dinner should incorporate fresh foods made in healthy cooking medium. Lay stress on grilling, baking and steaming, than frying. Mid day snacks should include fresh fruits, vegetable dips, yogurt, sandwiches, etc. Anything other done high calories chips and confectioneries. The idea to reduce body fat through diet works on the premise of adding minimal or just-enough fats in the body and preventing accumulation.
Though a healthy diet will guarantee adequate fat intake, exercise is needed to burn calories and fats, and most importantly to maintain the best body weight. Exercise raises metabolism rate which in turn burns calories. A note of caution here, it is presumed that lots of sweating helps to lose weight, it does not. The weighing scales tips to the lesser side due to the loss of body fluids and tips right back once the fluids are replenished. This idea has spurned plenty of scrupulous weight loss programs. The loss of body fluids leads to dehydration, and that means a whole lot of other health problems.
One can perform exercises to target specific areas, or work for an optimal decrease in the overall body fat. Jogging, sprinting, jump rope, swimming, bicycling, aerobic, cardio, etc, there are many forms of exercises one can choose to get the desired results. The idea of exercising is not only to reduce fat but to strengthen the muscles. The first few days of a routine start will definitely be full of aches and pain, but once the body gets used to exercise it uses it to build strength. Walking is another way to keep yourself active. Walk, walk and walk everywhere. Take up a hobby like trekking, gardening, etc. that requires physical activity. And if you find it difficult to stay on track, get a partner on and always keep the end result in mind to make yourself more persistent in your goal.
