Do not skip the medicine even if missed take it immediately and if it is time for the next medicine take it at the regular time, but do not take two medicine at a time. Your doctor might also need to change the dosage and frequency based on how your body responds to the drug.

What are the possible side effects of using this drug?

This medication may show side effects such as nausea disorder, increase or decrease of appetite, nervousness, drowsy, weak feeling, dizzy, blur vision, increase or decrease of heartbeat rate, excessive sweating, tremor disorder, problem while concentrating, convulsions, decrease blood sugar and head-ache. Beside this, this medication may also cause side effects such as Humalog may also induce allergic reactions like hives, breathlessness, swelling on face, lips, tongue, and throat. It may make the mouth go dry, induce drowsiness and light headedness. Patient may feel weak, irritable and experience muscle pain. As it makes the skin more sensitive, the patient easily gets bruised, blisters and peeling of skin rash. In extreme cases Humalog 25 may also lead to hearing loss, loss of appetite, uncommon stools and jaundice.

What precautions do I need to follow while using Humalog?

Patients using this medication should tell your doctor whether or not they are using any prescribed or un-prescribed, herbal or any supplementary diet as there is a need of adjustment in the dosage. Women who are pregnant or planning to get pregnant should not use this medication without the doctor's recommendation as it might cause harm to the unborn baby though it is not known whether or not it harm the unborn child. Lactating mothers should consult their doctor before taking this medication as it might pass into the breast milk and may harm the nursed child though no such incidence has been reported yet.
