Self Awareness Course 53 - Look Your Fear in the Face

One of the most powerful tools I can share with you is how to overcome your own mind. Sometimes our ego sense of self, particularly our limiting beliefs and fears, can get the best of us.

So one of the things you can do that's so powerful is to take whatever it is you're fearing and put it right in front of your face: just picture it in your mind and look at it like you're staring it down, or a parent who's on to the antics of their children. That ego sense, fear or whatever, starts dissolving the moment you observe it. In other words, once you see it for what it is and you realize it's just your mind doing something, you realize it's really not that powerful. It's only as powerful as you make it by putting energy in to that neurological discharge.

It's kind of like watching Jaws or some scary movie. If you're really taken in by the movie, it's going to feel very real when that shark comes by. But if you're sitting back realizing you're just watching a movie, then it's really not that big a deal. And you might still be a little scared but not as scared; you're not all sucked in. So watch your mind, observe your mind, become the witness, become the observer, become conscious.
