Shortly after the incident became front page tabloid fodder, Bridget confessed to Harper's Bazaar: "When you're suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you're in your 30s, it's a hard conversation. I'm a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that's the way I'd be doing this."
But now Bridget has achieved her own quiet revenge. Reportedly, she's been getting serious with a new man, Hollywood director and producer Joseph "McG" McGinty Nichol. His directing work includes the movies Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, We Are Marshall, and the upcoming film starring Reese Witherspoon This Means War. McG also holds the title of executive producer for television shows such as The O.C., Sorority Fever, and the recently premiered drama named after its seductive main character, an assassin and spy named Nikita.
Aside from snagging a powerful Hollywood hunk, Bridget has met success by landing a few recent acting gigs. Her latest acting stint was a leading role in the upcoming flick Battle: Los Angeles, in which a Marine fights against a L.A. alien invasion. The film is scheduled for release on March 11, 2011. The brunette beauty currently plays Erin Reagan-Boyle in Blue Bloods, arecently premiered TV show about a family of New York cops. Bridget also appeared last summer as the mother of Ramona Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, a movie based on Beverly Cleary's well-known children's book series.
Bridget originally kept a low profile after her highly publicized breakup with the NFL star, but recently she has been pretty open about her blossoming relationship with McG. She cheered on her man from the sidelines at Costa Mesa Wood Racquet Classic, a California-based charity tennis tournament in which the director participated. Reportedly, the couple has also been traveling across the country to visit each other on their various television and film sets.
A source told Life & Style Weekly that McG and Bridget "have been dating for a few months. She's filming the show Blue Bloods in NYC, and he's based in LA, but they fly back and forth." Another insider confirmed to People.com that Bridget and McG are indeed an item and commented, "They're really happy."
Bridget's child by TomJohn "Jack" Moynahanis now three. Tom and Gisele married in 2009, and their son Benjamin Brady is nownine months old.
