Living Your Dreams
Living Your Dreams

Have you ever laid a blanket on the grass, starred up at the clouds, and dreamt about life and your dreams? As the clouds slowly drifted past you found yourself lost in the visions and feeling passionately optimistic. You reflected upon how you thought life could not hold you back and you could accomplish just about anything. Remember the days when life was abundant with possibility.

I remember the day when I felt that there was nothing that could stand between me and my dreams. My dreams of possibility filled me with energy and made me feel alive. Have you ever felt that way in your life? What happens to that doubtless sense of accomplishment; the feeling that anything is possible.

For some they may wake up one morning, look around, and wonder when all the time has pasted. They may question how they were able to move so far from his/her dreams without noticing. It seems that at one moment in life the world is open and filled with possibility; the next we are dazed and confused far beyond what we had hoped and dreamt.

At what point in life does our focus change and we find ourselves lost in a life that has taken us far from our once felt passionate optimism. Our dreams somehow manage to get lost in your daily routines. Is it our fear that deters us from focusing upon what we once felt so achievable?

Fear can be the main reason why we are not living our dreams. Fear can paralyze us and keep us from going after what we believe is possible. Do you want to wake up one day and say, "I could have" or "I am so glad I did"? If you feel that your fear has kept you from living your dreams, fear not, you can move past that fear and again begin living.

Start living your dreams with a few simply steps:

Acknowledge that you still have dreams and they are worth living.

Write your dreams down on paper, this will make them real and you can visual them.

Break your dreams down into small steps; remember great accomplishments do not happen over night, small steps make achieving your dreams manageable and achievable.

Spend time reflecting on what might be keeping you from moving toward your dreams.

Create a support system. You do not want to live your dreams alone.

Celebrate each success as you move toward your dream. The best part of living your dreams is the journey. The journey is the part that creates memories.

Remember feeling fear is normal, accept it, and move through it. Embrace the fear and live your dreams.

Believe in yourself!

We are the only ones that can make our dreams come true. No one lese can do it for us. It is up to each of us to create the life we once dreamt of and start living it today.
