It's important to operate within you budget, etc, but just try to do one or two more additional marketing techniques and build from there. If you get started using only free methods, and you get to a point where you're making some money - then branch out into paid-for advertising. There's nothing wrong at all with investing in your business, and you can do that with paid-for methods of advertising. Experimenting with various marketing strategies will take you forward on the long run. Also, try and think out of the box when marketing your affiliate products.

One thing not too many people do is take their articles and create videos from them. Always try to bring people into your site more by doing things to make them want to participate or be involved in some way on your site, or blog. It just creates a bond with your readers and your site, and you, and that's exactly what you want to do. If you have a more interesting site for poeple, then they'll have a more interesting time there. You can include options to follow you on Twitter, or Facebook, and then post your material on those sites. Naturally it's a good idea to make a Facebook fanpage if you already have not. There are other ways to bring people more into your business. When you look at the overall scenario, affiliate marketing can be challenging but it's not hard to do. If you understand it and work on it, it's not only easy to grab but is also highly effective on the long run. It's more than possible to do nothing but affiliate marketing and make tons of money.
