subject: How to Change a Negative Way of Thinking Into a Positive One [print this page]

How many times in our lives do we go about our day and we sayto oursevles"I can't do it"? We find excuses all the time for not taking a step forward to our own personal success.

We say to ourselves "I can't do it I don't have the time", "I can't do it I don't have enough money", "I can't do it I am not worthy". We find all kinds of excuses and we end up sabotaging our efforts in becoming our own personal success stories. A lot of time we do this on a subconscious level - we don't even know we are doing it.

I ask you now. Why is it so easy to tell yourself "I can't do it" as opposed to saying "I can do it"? Perhaps we feel that there is too much work in trying to achieve our goals no matter how big or small they are. Or maybe we worry too much about what other people will think of us? Sometimes if we are really honest with ourselves it might just be that for some subconscious reason we feel we are not deserving to be happy, not worthy of success in whatever form you define it as.

On some level you might be saying to yourself "if I become a success my life might change to a point where I can't handle it" or you are fearful of your own inner power, fearful of your potential and fearful of your greatness.

What if you were to change the conversation in your mind. Instead of saying "I can't do it" try saying to yourself "I can do it". These are 4 simple words that could change your life.

A DAILY EXCERCISE

For 30 days try this daily exercise. It might feel uncomfortable at times but it's worth a try.

Each morning say in your head "I can do it". Each time a negative thought comes into your head repeat these 4 words.

Look into a mirror and say to yourself "I can do it".

If you don't succeed the first time don't beat yourself up about it, try again tomorrow.

If it is difficult at first to say these words outloud to yourself say to your children, friends, colleagues, partner "You can do it". Encourage the people around you and in-turn it will encourage you to be your best.

It takes 30 days to change a habit. When we repeat the same behavior day after day it becomes part of our lives. At first these words may just seem like words you are saying but over time you will feel the power and meaning of these words and it will turn your life from a negative way of thinking to a positive.

Start today and by the way YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
