Actos (Pioglitazone) is anti-diabetic drug used for treating insulin resistance, it is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes known as noninsulin dependent diabetes. It covers the requirement of the insulin in the muscles adipose tissues and hepatic gluconeogenesis, it also treat glycemic function. It is an odorless white crystalline powder gets dissolve in N-Dimethylformamide, lightly soluble in anhydrous ethanol and in capable of dissolving in water and ether. This medication works by converting the food in to glucose so as to generate energy. Actos medication is used to reduce the resistance of the insulin, maintaining the production of the insulin in the body which decrease the level of glucose in the body and help the body to naturally produce it insulin.
How should I take this medication?
Do not skip the Actos 30mg medication even if missed take it immediately and if it is time for the next medicine take it at the regular time, but do not take two medicine at a time. Your doctor might also need to change the dosage and frequency based on how your body responds to the drug. Do not expose Alupent medication in heat, light and moisture always keep in dry and cool place. The patient should check the direction give in the label of the medication.
What are the possible side effects of using this drug?
Some side effects of this drug are swollen face, lips and swollen tongue. The patient may feel unusual breathing, sudden gain of weight, swollen ankle, hand and feet. Stomach-ache, uneven nausea, vomiting, or changes of appetite; changes in the color of skin or eye, excess sweating. This medication may also cause nervousness, worry, indifferences, severe headache, severely dizzy and sleepiness. May have pain in the bone, often feel tired or weak.
What precautions do I need to follow while using Actos?
Do not use Actos drug without checking your blood vessels or if you have to undergo surgery. Do no drink alcohol while using this medicine for it may increase the risk of causing side effect and also may have the problem of low blood pressure. Check your liver performance whether it is functioning properly before using this drug. Patient should go for medical check up so as to check the level of sugar for time to time while using Actos. Do not use this medicine if you experience thirst or dryness (dehydration) consults your doctor immediately. Patient suffering from liver, heart, vision disorder and edema symptoms should not use this medication without consulting the doctor for there is a need to adjust the dosage.
