The A/W 2010 catwalks were awash with bronze metallic, similarlyblush and nude shades were everywhere on the S/S runways. This has inspired an emerging trend in the jewellery world as designer and fashion brands give a modern twist to an often unappreciated metal -rose gold. The pink tinted metal is more flattering than yellow gold for those with fair skin and rose gold watches are available for both men and women.

In contrast to traditional neutral tones and in response to the gloomy socio-economic conditionsthe fashion world has seen an explosion of colour. Whether brightly coloured plastic or enamel watches in a single block colour, or multi material watches with splashes of vibrant colour, the 1980s are back. In a bid to attract women to the predominantly masculine world of watches Haute Couture brands have combined precious and semi-precious stones gems to create stunning timepieces that wouldn't look out of place with an evening gown.

Chunky watches with oversized faces have become increasingly popular with women in 2010.As boyfriend style' has filtered into the fashion world more and more women are looking to wear more than just their boyfriend shirt or jeans. Brands are seeing a rise in women buying men's watches for themselves and have since brought out masculine style oversized watch collections for women.
Technology
From solar power to chronographs and atomic timekeeping technology is always at the heart of any good watch manufacturer. In 2010 we have seen a whole host of new watch designs that show off the inner workings as chronograph dials become bigger design features and crowns become exaggerated. Brands like Oakley have been leading the way, Citizen watches ,including the Citizen Watch Gents Eco Drive Chrono-Timeare more wearable.
