There are only two kinds of exercises that cause the greatest weight loss. They are Anaerobic Endurance and Power Exercises.

Anaerobic endurance is a kind of exercise that simulates alternating between high intensity anaerobic (without oxygen) and aerobic (with oxygen). Many people are calling this High Intensity Interval Training. But they are doing it in a way that is preventing maximal use of time.

So to be clear, increased oxygen use allows body fat to be used as fuel. When oxygen is not used, sugar is used for energy.

The other reason I mentioned earlier for exercise causing weight loss, is hormone enhancement. There are two sets of hormones in your body that have a direct and indirect effect on your fat and muscle. In fact, you can consider that they are also anti-agin and aging groups of hormones. The fat burning hormones are: Adrenaline, Human Growth Hormone, Testosterone, Glucagon, Insulin and IGF-1.

The fat storing hormones are cortisol, estrogen, and insulin. (Yes, I know I listed insulin twice. It is both a fat burner and a fat storer depending on how it is behaving in your body).

When you do intense resistance exercise to lose weight your body will release these fat burning hormones 15 - 18 hours afterward. During the time between your workout and 15 - 18 hours later, your fat burning hormones are actually lowered and one of the fat storing hormones elevates. This hormone is Cortisol.

The more intense the exercise the more fat burning hormones are released. The more sleep and rest you get, the more fat burning hormones your body releases.

Fastest Exercise Lose Weight Rule 3:

Your exercise has to match your level of health and fitness. If the exercise is too intense, then you will reduce your health and also stop weight loss.

Not everyone is ready for these two types of exercise. They may not be in physical shape and doing these two types of exercise will cause injury. Also if there is excess cortisol in the system, any intense exercise should be avoided. Also, if there is adrenal fatigue all intense exercise should be avoided.

The solution is to find the appropriate exercise that matches your current level of health. If it is not matched, you will get more fat and not lose weight. You also will not feel well.

There are objective and practical ways to determine what exercise you should be using based on your current fitness level. There are very simple heart rate tests I use and that you can learn as well.

By using practical indicators like this, you can have an objective way to determine when to change with your exercise and what exercise you should replace with to keep losing weight.
