subject: Easiest Way To Start Running [print this page] I enjoy to work outI enjoy to work out. I have the desire to be in shape and to show people how they should be treating their bodies. With obesity on the rise there are few people who understand what it takes to care for their bodies. This was challenging for me after I had my daughter.
The most difficult part for me was trying to regain control of my appetite so that i didn't crave everything in sight and to find the will to work out. I did not have the time to go to a gym so instead I found myself walking around my neighborhood. This was doing great - but after a couple of months my friends proposed that I attempt to run instead.
Running is a great type of cardio - but not something that I particularly savored. I was not athletic when I was younger and each time I tried to run I lost my breath and my chest felt like it was going to explode. I told them that I didn't have the ability to run - but they told me that my body just wasn't used to it.
I went out with them one day and attempted to try a technique. I ran for twenty seconds and walked for the remaining. I did this for a single mile and my legs were hurting - but I was happy that I had managed to finish the whole mile. By the end of the week I was running the whole mile.
It is brilliant the endurance that was developing inside of me. Each night I go for a run around the neighborhood and every few weeks I step up the mileage. It really helps that I have friends to encourage me and I visit running forums for tips and ideas.
