subject: When Opposites are Necessary [print this page] The majority of people wish for peace and love to fill the hearts of each individual that inhabits the planet. They all want there to be no more war, pain or suffering. The truth is that we can not truly understand love without hate or peace without war. This is why the world is constructed the way that it is. While some may believe that it is human nature to murder and hate, the truth is that it is only part of the way of the world. There is just as much love in the world as there is pain. The even split is what keeps the world balanced. It is a grand design laid out to help the people understand the way the world works.
In the old testament, God was more of a vengeful character with a misunderstanding for the people of Earth. In the new testament, we had been given the covenant and God became more loving and better understood man through his son Jesus. This is a great way to explain the way of the world. At first there was vengeance and then there was love, first there was war and then there was peace. God is showing us how to understand our surroundings. We are being shown the nature of the world. Life is spawned from chaos but can exist in harmony. It is a type of yin and yang. God is there for us in our times of need, but He also helps us better understand ourselves through the trials of darker times. We must sit in darkness before we can stand in the light.
The world will always be filled with good and evil as long as it living. If we are able to understand this division and use that knowledge to better ourselves, then we can create a better world for all to live in. The problem is that when people reach the dark side they tend to forget about the light that is available to them. We must always remember that as time passes, things will get better.
