Steve Korch was born in 1950 and raised in a rather ordinary middle-class home. Steve is a full-time professor and teaches applied theology and communication skills at Western Seminary in Northern California. He is a preaching coach for pastors in the SF Bay Area and has twenty years of pastoral experience in small, medium and large churches. He is an outstanding speaker at worship services, retreats, camps and conferences. Steve Korch is also a published author and his first book, My Soul Thirsts, has made a marvelous impact on readers. Other soon-to-be-released books include Coming to Your Senses, The Legionnaire's Son and The Presence.

Steve Korch joined the Army after his first semester in college and served as a co-pilot in Vietnam for one year. After his time in military, he continued with his education and earned a B.A. in history from Biola University and an M.Div. from Western Seminary. Upon completing his education, he served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Lincoln City, Oregon for nine years. Several development programs were launched under his guidance such as a Christian bookstore and a Christian kindergarten. He served at Fair Oaks Baptist Church in Concord, California for three years from 1987. Steve Korch CA then served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in San Mateo from 1990 to 1999. He has been a follower of Jesus for forty years. He has served congregations of culturally and spiritually diverse people, and has played a significant role in helping them discover a new life in Jesus.
