It may be a problem with a program that starts up with windows. You can eliminate them by doing the following. Go to the start menu, then run and type in msconfig. Go to the startup tab and untick every program box. Only untick programs and then restart the computer. If it now runs ok enable one at a time until you have the program causing the problem.
