subject: What makes the perfect sales pitch [print this page] If you want to make the perfect sales pitch then you need to understand exactly what is involved in it. When it comes to sales there are a few things that you need to know, need, doubt, and solution. If you know these three things then you will be very good at sales. The hardest part about these three things is you need to stick to them and not veer off from these three things. The steps go in this order:
Need The first thing you need to do is create a need for your product or service. Whether you approached the prospect or they approached you the process is still the same, you need to learn something about them to create that "Need". The best way to create need is to simply ask, "Why do you need this product of service?" Once they answer this simple question you will either know of you will have more question to get the answer you want.
Doubt The great thing about doubt is that most people think they already have everything they need, or at least they think they do. You job here is not to sell your product it is to make them doubt what they have. The entire point of creating doubt is so you don't have to sell anymore, all you have to do is wait for them to agree to a purchase. If there was only one thing you had time to do or wanted to learn it would be "Creating doubt" this is the one method that I learned early on and it has worked almost every time.
Solution The simple part about the solution is you tell the prospect your honest personal opinion about what you think would be best for them. My advice in this step is to not be a salesman, just be personable and try to stay connected to your prospect.
If you can follow these three steps you will be on your to earn money now instead of waiting months past you sales approach.
