Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a contact sportMixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a contact sport. Fighters are allowed to use striking and grappling techniques during competition. To make sure they don't get tired, they follow a very strict strength and conditioning program. An mma workout appeals to men since it helps them be in peak physical condition. While there are MMA gym memberships available, they can be costly. Here are some mma workout techniques to use at home.

A few items are required before starting your mma workout. A person needs some wooden boxes, dumbbells, and a pull up bar. Use your pull up bar to do a large number of pull ups. These are required for good, strong arms and shoulders. If you can, try to do some leg raises from the pull up bar, which will help build up your core muscles.

Next, try doing some depth and lateral jumps. A person should aim to do at least 100 a day. Be sure to keep proper form while performing the exercises. Another depth exercise to try are depth push-ups. These should be done with the wooden boxes.

Continue the mma workout by using your dumbbells. These should be used for squats, snatches, and dead lifts. All of these exercises will help build core strength and also increase anaerobic capacity. Also try the shoulder press.

After all the strength training is complete, be sure to do a form of aerobic exercise. A person should run at least two to three miles per day. This will help build up a person's endurance. All exercises listed above should be done in rounds, not reps. This will give a person an idea of how it is in a mma fight. Start with one minute rounds and work up to five minutes.

Once a person has done the mma workout for a while, rotate in some different exercises. You want to prevent a plateau from occurring. Make changes as needed, based on the equipment you have.

For a person to get the best results, be sure to do the workout as follows. Some may only do a few exercises or give up to try something new. A person needs to be committed to the mma workout to achieve a lean, hard body.
