One path to success would be to follow the shoes of those who have reached the top. Hence, it's only obvious that we will have to make use of Garrett Robins' strategies if we want to have a chance at making it big in the business.

There are three stages to Garrett Robins' plan to success. We can summarize this plan in five words: research, recruit, and train your affiliates. Let us go through each of these stages.

1. Research Your Affiliates

There are a few tools that you can use in researching potential affiliates. These tools have been proven to be very helpful and is strongly recommended for the research. These are the Alexa toolbar, the Google toolbar, and SEO Elite. The Alexa and Google toolbars are free and very easy to install on your computer. SEO Elite, however, is a paid software. This is not really necessary for your success, but it cuts down your research time to more than half and will save you a lot of trouble in digging up various information.

These tools basically gives you the information you need in your research --- information related to the site you are looking at. They will show you name of the owner of the site, his contact details, other sites the owner created, and other sites that are related to the site. You can view the page rank of the site with the Google toolbar. And if you want this process to go faster, there is always SEO Elite.

2. Recruit Your Affiliates

With the information you were able to generate, you can now start recruiting your affiliates. Bear in mind that you should have already done all the work for the affiliate before you make contact with them. You should make things easy for them so that there will be a higher probability of them agreeing with your offer.

Another important thing to remember is that, before anything else, is that you should be ready with what you have to say and what they might be asking before going ahead with recruiting. This includes details about your affiliate program, what you can offer them in return for their services, the softwares you will be using, commissions, and many more. You should know the right and wrong things to say and be ready to answer the potential affiliates' concerns.

3. Train Your Affiliates

With your affiliates confirmed and ready, it is time to start their training. Training your recruits is important, so that they will know what to do on their own and can also reach their own potential in affiliate marketing. Giving them seminars and tele-seminars will be very helpful, and courses on affiliate programs and marketing will not hurt either. Webinars and blogs will also make good resources for them in their training and advancement.

These are the three simple stages in Garrett Robins' manual to success. Where affiliate management and marketing is concerned, you can tell that Garrett Robins is one of the top guys to learn from indeed.
