If I asked you, what meal makes you feel best? What would your answer be? What we eat has a profound impact on us.

Here are three clues to uncover what your body needs in terms of macro nutrient ratios.

Clue #1

Your physical energy. Next time you eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner pay attention to your energy level about and hour or two after you eat. Being able to notice if your energy increased or decreased is a very important clue as to whether your body used what you ate in the right manner or pushed it further out of balance.

Clue #2

Your emotional stability. Again, after an hour or two following your next meal rate your emotional stability. Are you emotionally balanced, or out of balance? Did your emotional level improve, or did your irritability level increase?

Clue #3

Your mental clarity. As you rate your physical and emotional state of being, how mentally clear are you? Has your mental clarity sharpened enough to focus on a difficult task for a pro longed period? Or has it diminished into the dreadful foggy thinking and impaired mental focus?

What we eat is meant to fuel our body in the right way. However, today we have more energy robbing food available to us than we could possibly ever need. Food fuels our bodies, the question is how do you wish to fuel your body? With the right fuel or the wrong fuel?
