It is extremely sought after by wealthy individuals around the world and was listed in Forbes Magazine as the most expensive car in 2006, selling for around $1,175,000.

Another very rare and exotic car is the Lotec Sirius. It has a top speed of 249 mph and has a powerful 1334 horse power V12 engine. The concept of the car itself came out in 2001 however it was never released into mainstream production. The price of the car is around $500,000 and there are only a handful of people around the world who own one. The car itself has a 48 valve six-liter V12 Mercedes Benz engine in it, making it one of the most rare and exotic vehicles in the entire world.

You will find that most exotic cars are at least $200,000 or more. Most of the time people who own these cars live in different places around the world and are extremely wealthy. Most truly exotic cars like the ones mentioned above are very rare and difficult to get. They are not manufactured the same way as regular cars are. Many times these exotic vehicles are custom made to the specifications of the person buying them, which is why they are not turned out in bulk.

One common trait of most exotic cars is the power of the engine. Most of them have thousands of horsepower behind them, able to go from 0-60mph in just a few seconds. Although you won't see them being driven on the streets very often, they are taken care of very well by their owners. A lot of people who own expensive exotic cars take extra precaution in storing them somewhere that is extremely safe and good for the car in terms of keeping it in pristine condition. The speed of the cars themselves is another trademark that you can use to identify them by.

While the top speed of most exotic cars is certainly not street legal, many of them are used for racing on actual tracks. It is not uncommon to find an exotic car that is able to go well over 200 mph. This is because of the large and powerful engine inside, often having 12 cylinders for extra speed. Although most of the time car companies do not manufacture thousands of the same exotic cars, sometimes they are produced this way for a limited time only. There aren't very well many people around the world who own extremely rare and exotic cars, although the ones who do keep them for years after purchasing them.
