Some other common causes of this skin disease are like immune hypothesis, neural hypothesis, self-destruction hypothesis, genetic hypothesis etc.

Herbal Remedies

- Psoralea Seeds

These natural ingredients were noted to be very helpful in the treatment of Leucoderma. The seeds must first be soaked in juice of ginger for 3 days, and dried and powdered. Patients are advised to take 1 gram of the powder with fresh milk for 40 days, and the ground seeds must be applied to the white spots.

- Turmeric and Mustard Oil

These herbs have also been found to be effective in treating this skin disorder. Around 500 grams of pounded turmeric should be soaked in 8 kilograms of water, and heated until only a kilogram is left. Strain the remaining mixture and add 500 grams of mustard oil. Reheat the mixture until only the oil is left. Afterwards, apply the oil on the white patches every morning and evening for a month.

- Radish Seeds and Vinegar

The paste derived from combining radish and vinegar have been noted to help alleviate this disorder. Around 35 grams of the powdered seeds should be mixed with vinegar and applied on the white patches.

- Psoralea and Tamarind seeds

These two herbs should be first soaked in water for 3-4 days and dried after. Once dry, these should be grounded into a paste and applied on the patches for one week.
