Losing stomach fat can be for some a daunting task, but not entirely impossible. You just have to have a clear and simple plan to achieve success. You also need to set a large goal for yourself that you can get to in the future and smaller goals that will lead up to your freedom day. This is what successful people do. They set small goals and one large one and they get there by following a clear cut plan. I am going to give you a plan today, but it's up to you to follow it.

Step 1: Get rid of all the junk food in your house. Seriously, stop reading, and empty out the closets of all that Trans fat, sugary crap ASAP. It's killing you. There was a recent study that showed rats that were fed high fat, high sugar diets had a brain that was compared to a brain addicted to crack cocaine. Pretty interesting stuff. Now I am not saying anyone is an addict, however it was interesting that eating fat and sugar laden foods has this effect on the mammalian brain.

Step 2: Start eating smaller meals throughout the day. Get creative with your meals and have fun with it. Eat highly nutritious, high in fiber foods that are colorful and flavorful. By eating smaller meals throughout the day, you are essentially stoking the fire, keeping your metabolism on high all day long.

Step 3: Add protein in your diet. Protein has been found to be 30% more thermogenic than carbs or fat. This means that it is harder for your body to break down protein as compared to carbs and fat. So when you eat some protein, your body burns more calories and energy in order to break down protein into smaller forms.

Step 4: Add more fiber in your diet. By eating higher amounts of fiber, you will help keep yourself full, prevent cravings, and prevent hunger pains. Fiber as well all know is very important in someone's diet. Its been shown to help people lose weight and lower their cholesterol. Some great places to get fiber are flax seeds, oatmeal, any vegetables, especially green veggies, and fruit such as berries.

Step 5: Add exercise. Perform 2 sessions a week of resistance exercise such as the machine circuit at your local gym and 3 sessions of cardio per week. This will help you burn more calories, thus increasing the amount of weight you lose week per week.
