subject: Perseverance in Business is KEY! [print this page] I have been thinking a lot lately how important perseverance is in business...and I recently received a TERRIFIC example!
The other night I opened an e-mail from a guy saying he "just joined me-now what do I do?" He didn't specify exactly what he had joined me in, so I asked him. Turns out he had found me in a search engine, advertising a program I had quit MONTHS ago. Hmmm...very interesting! I had given up on that particular opportunity because I wasn't getting any response...and now people were finding ME, on a search engine, no less!
I need to tell you why I find this particularly intriguing. For about a week, I had been receiving messages that said "you have a new lead" from the same program I had walked away from and I could NOT figure out how (or why!) I was getting them. Now I know. After quite awhile of my ads being on the internet, even after I had stopped putting them out there, I had been fully accepted by the search engines, and was moving up in ranking. The ads were persevering, even when I wasn't!
I am very thankful for the gentleman's e-mail and his willingness to chat with me about how he had come across a program I had been trying to promote--and gave up on, obviously far too soon. I admire his enthusiasm and have decided to forward him all of my "new leads" from my old program. I hope he does well!
