When people think of ways how to get clear skin, they tend to think of different things to put on their skin. Be it benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, soap, baking soda, or even honey, we've all been pretty much indoctrinated to think that putting stuff on our skin is the way to get rid of acne. Unfortunately, we are all very sadly mistaken. Acne by itself doesn't have a single thing to do with skin. In fact, acne is caused by problems within our bodies. But since we see the problems on our skin and the drug companies keep selling products to put their, we simply assume that that's the best way to take care of it. Think of it like this: imagine you have a hole in the roof of your home. Every single time it rains, there's a huge mess in your kitchen. Now you could do one of two things. You can either place a bucket under the hole and mop up any mess after a rain. Or you could just patch the hole and be done with it once and for all. The way how to get clear skin is the same exact thing. Whenever we put something on our skin, we're only dealing with the problem that has occurred right now. But since we're not dealing with the real and underlying problems, our acne will just keep coming back over and over again. So what is the real problem? Well for just about every acne sufferer, many of our problems can be traced back to two major hormones in our bodies; insulin and androgens. Whenever we eat a typical meal, insulin is released to convert sugar into energy that our body can use to make it through the day. As a converse to that, androgens are released when our blood sugar levels are to low in order to motivate us to eat something. The problem is that because of our overly processed diets, these hormones are released in very large amounts, far larger than they should be. This becomes a problems because when there is to much of these hormones in our systems, they cause our skin to die off faster than it should, causes our skin to dry out and on top of that, causes our oil glands to make way to much oil. All of these are leading causes for acne breakouts; dead skin and oil get trapped in pores which in turn lead to breakouts. If we took care of the internal problems, the insulin and androgens, the dead skin and oil would simply cease to be a problem; we wouldn't have acne anymore!
