subject: Russian Scammers leave men feeling Poor and Lonely [print this page]

Have you ever been scammed on a dating site? One of the dating markets most heavily hit by unscrupulous individuals is the Russian dating scene, as Russian scammers make bucket loads of money via the pay per email dating scam.

Incentives are the cornerstone of society. It's a fact, and the greater the incentive the greater the effort an individual makes to produce results. Without incentives the world as we know it would fall apart, however let's also consider that there are times when incentives are wrong and immoral.

Let's look at the most basic of incentives- eating. We eat food and the incentive is to survive. If we eat healthy and go to the gym, we in turn hope to benefit from a healthy body. In the sales world, sales executives make more money when they sell more- this means they can afford that luxury holiday or buy that car they always wanted -the incentives are obvious.

Parking attendants and vehicle clampers all over the UK get paid per offending vehicle and therefore they are more diligent than attendants in other countries who have no incentives to perform. Sportsmen and women train harder and have the incentive of a higher performance when they compete. The list goes on and the list is exhaustive.

However when human emotions and morals are involved incentives should not be necessary, and this leads me to the point of writing this article. Should someone love you more the more money you give them? Can a woman genuinely and impartiallylove a man who is paying her (possibly at the same time as many other men) to communicate with him?

Dating is a category where incentives shouldn't be involved; indeed the introduction of such incentives is immoral. The pay per email system, in which women are paid for each email communication they have with a male member of a dating site is controversial to say the least. It doesn't seem to bewithin the spirit of dating, and I personallydon't understand why so many men feelcomfortable paying cash over the counter to a company who operate such a practise.

Mostgirls from Russia are genuine and honest in their intentions but alesser number ofentrepreneurial individuals, attracted to certain well known websiteshave tarnished the name of many.

There are a number of Russian girls scams, but the pay per email practise is possibly one of the most damaging. Western men can get caught in a trap communicating with an internet sweetheart who is happily sending encouraging letters of love to him. She knows thatthe longer the relationship continues, the fatter her purse will become. Men can become caught in a deadly game that damages not only their bank account - but their self-esteem and confidence.

The manwere allured by professionally taken, semi-naked photos at first, and then by the convincing communication that followed. Communicationended abruptly though, whena particularman could no longer afford to keepthe chatgoing, or when another's Russian internet flame suddenly broke off contact, her belly full perhaps? In either case a relationship has ended before it really started. Value for money? Ethical?

How does the operation work? -Simple. If a man pays $5 to send or receive an email (some dating website charge much more than this) then the 'singlewoman' at the other end typically receives 40% of the amount. If the Russian woman is affiliated to an agency, then they of course must alsotake their cut of the profits. Was she a real woman in the first place? Many men will unfortunatelynever know...
