subject: Phoenix Marketing and Internet Presence Concepts [print this page] Phoenix Google Ranking Expert for Small Business
I have been a consultant for 25 years primarily working in the Direct Marketing industry, after moving from Chicago, Illinois to Phoenix, Arizona I have had to change my focus of what markets to promote myself and new technologies to learn, I by accident fell into the SEO off site internet business promotion and traffic driving end of Search Engine Optimization and it's newly formed industry of legitimate technology experts to fly-by-night get rich quick internet exploiters.
Working with Google's web tools like analytics, ranking and others, I have come to believe and support Google's philosophy of good, honest, variable content. Google's search engines spiders are looking for content that is honest, value laden and something the average internet browser can use or learn from. They seem to go out of they're way to filter out the garbage.
This is a very good thing and fresh from coming from somebody as large as Google, there seems to be an abundance of people out there looking to capitilize on the internet challenged and small business owners unaware of all the people and scams thats are trying to capture they're hard earned money.
Offsite Search Engine Optimization is all about Google, the best way is to play straight, new over hype, no tricks, just good old content with value that's not dynamic but consistantly dynamic. SEO tech's are looking for the next application that will do all the work but he best way is just good old hard work, writing good articles that truly represent the object of the company. Flooding the internet with garbage is fool hardy and the lazy mans folly, Google's spiders are too smart for that, they're checking file dates, revelant content, and OVER use of keywords. These are the tactics of scammers, internet charlatans and get rich fast and easy amatuer hackers (their little knowledge of the internet and computers does not make them dangerous, just annoying), these type of promoters and SEO fakes make it hard for the honest techs trying to make a living doing what they enjoy.
It seems Phoenix, Arizona has more than it's fair share of these folks, and this makes the available pool of clients to the rest of us VERY sceptical and suspicious of anybody who walks real in this field. But this will change and probably with the help of corporations like Google itself, they're true objective is to make the internet an enjoyable and valuable experience. Mozilla is another fine example of company leading by example, offering quality products for nothing, although I am sure eventually they will have to charge.
They're are distribution programs and services out there for distributing articles and videos and I have toyed with them, but I have found the results I get are so much better when I take the time to personally write and fill out all the information requests from sites that promote articles, the same goes for video's, it's like the search spiders know when something has been done by hand or when something has been mass delivered - A Personal touch leaves it's finger prints.
Some points to ponder -
Content with value
Content that is dynamically consistent
Content built around keywords but not loaded with them
Good resource information, not filler
Honest intentions from the developer
short, concise and simple keyword phrases
Google is a good thing, they set a good example of how large corporations should be responsible to its users and the public in general.
