NCERT Solutions is not just the key to all NCERT questions but is in a way, also the key to academically excelling in the CBSE exams. End-of-chapter NCERT Solutions for almost all subjects are easily available both online and offline. However, it is important for students to seek help from only those sources that provide credible material aligned as per the content of the NCERT text books and CBSE curriculum. Apart from the credibility, it is also very important for students to identify how and when to use these NCERT solutions.
Some of the NCERT solutions made available by various publishers have a serious shortcoming, in that they are not precise. Although containing the specific answer to the question, they also detail out the entire concept. This is usually not required. Further, the NCERT Solutions may not be in accordance with the prescribed word limit. Therefore it is advised, that students should use the NCERT Solutions wisely and tailor the answers as per their needs.
Students should seek help from NCERT Solutions as "reference material". It should be used for cross-checking the answers or the results once the student is done with his/her answers. An exercise like this will help students identify their mistakes and will prepare them to not committing those mistakes in the future.
Students should also try to restrict themselves from falling in the trap of cramming the NCERT Solutions. Ideally one should refer to these solutions for conceptual understanding and not adopt the "Cut-Copy ""Paste" mode as they reproduce the available material onto their answer sheets.
NCERT Solutions can also be used as revision material for those last minute glances before the exams. However students should keep the key points in their mind after revising from NCERT Solutions and write the answers in their own words. Self-composed answers reflect the individual thought processes of the students and speak of their ability to organize, assimilate and present relevant material, while also making valuable inferences. This enables the examiner to distinguish one answer from the other and make meaningful assessments of a student"s understanding.
It is not just the students who can benefit from the NCERT Solutions, but even parents can use these solutions to help their children with their studies. These solutions also help parents in keeping a track of their child"s studies.
