subject: 4 Easy Steps To Putting A Pop-up Opt-in Form On Your Website [print this page] Leads, Leads Leads! Leads, Leads Leads!
That's the idea my friend. With a blog pop up opt in form you can really increase your lead flow by giving your visitors 1 more chance to give you the goods (their contact information) before they leave your site.
With the wordpress Optinpop plugin, this is really easier than you might think. In fact, I'm going to show you how to put this pop up form on you blog in 4 easy steps.
Step 1 - Install the plugin
One BIG reason wordpress is the most popular blogging platform is the fact that there are so many widgets, gadgets and just plain cool things you can do to your site without having to become a computer science major.
Optinpop is one of these super cool plugins.
All you have to do is log into your word press back office, scroll down and keep an eye on the left hand side of the screen.
You should see "Plugins" before too long. Right under the "Plugins" heading you'll see "add new". Just click here.. do a quick search for Optinpop and install the plugin.
Wallah! You're ready to roll.
Step 2 - Design the pop up capture form
Optinpop allows you to put in the web address of the capture form you want to put on your blog.
Therefore, you have 2 options here. You can use an existing capture page or you can create your own.
If you have an existing capture page through a lead generation system... you can just plug your web address right into the URL box in the "OptinPop Settings box"
If you want to create your own you can download a FREE HTML editor like NVU. This will allow you to design your very own capture page. You can even copy/past existing capture pages right into NVU.
TIP!- Just make sure that the capture page you're copying is yours and leads into your sales funnel. Otherwise... you'll be feeding free leads to your competition.
Step 3 - If you designed your own form...upload it to your hosting account
If you did choose to design your own form.. you'll want to upload the page you created to your hosting account. This way you'll have a domain address to copy and paste into the Optinpop Settings box.
Step 4 - Configure Your Plugin
You're now ready to log back into your wordpress account and go to the Optinpop settings box. This is where you'll paste your Pop-UP box domain address into the Optinpop settings box so the plugin will know which webpage you want displayed on your site.
Here you can also make other adjustments to display preferences like how often you want the box to pop up for each visitor, size, display preferences, etc.
As you can see, it's really easy to add a pop up opt in form to your blog.
This should increase the amount of leads you generate from the traffic coming to your blog.
