He has however reiterated the fact that the athlete's village still requires essential work to ensure it is ready in time for the Commonwealth Game 2010.
Many of the teams that are already in Delhi have located themselves in hotels prior to moving into the athlete's village once it has been given the green light. Even with the president assuring competing nations that the Commonwealth Game buildings will be ready, many of the competing nations remain concerned that the state of the accommodation could impact on the safety of their athletes.
The Commonwealth Game runs between the 3 and 14TH October 2010 and while no major event is devoid of problems during the build up, the events in Delhi over the last few weeks makes the uncertainty of what lies in store compelling news if not embarrassing for the host nation.
