How about this for one of the most disheartening aspects of internet marketing? You research everybody who's anybody in internet marketing. Then you spend days and days designing and creating your sales page.

You take their advice about all sorts:

Headline - make sure it's attention grabbing

Problem emphasis - make sure the reader feels the pain

Your credibility - authority to sell this

Zero navigation - no links on the page

Layout - use of bullet points

Income proof - specific amounts best

Testimonials - look who is already benefiting

Bonuses - the more the better

Value - justify the price

Money back guarantee - unconditional

Induce urgency - limited copies or time deadline.

Call to action - spell out what to do next

Use of PS's - reinforce the what and the why

Smart exit agent - catch them on exit with special offer

You deploy some or all of the above and wait for the orders to drop.

And then - nothing! Zero sales come in. Your sales page design is not making sales to the level you expected. You don't understand it. You've followed all the recommendations. The reason for the poor sales, however, is often something much more fundamental than anything on our list above.

Are you aware of how important the subconscious is in the mind of your website visitor?

Whenever anyone visits a web page, their subconscious instantly decides whether it likes the look of it. If it doesn't, then the chances of selling to that person are minimal to zero!

When you design your sales page you need to make sure it is attractive to the subconscious mind of your page visitor.

If you can do that, you should see your web sales pages converting much better than before.
