Florida had its sights set on defending its BCS title the week after New Years but lost to Alabama in the SEC title game and had to settle for the Sugar Bowl against Cincy instead.

Meyer was said to be suffering chest pains after the teams SEC championship loss, resulting in the announcement. Bettors are going to have to factor in the win one for the Meyer-meister approach going into the bowl game against Cincinnati.
The Bearcats also had a coaching loss to deal with, although under entirely different circumstances. Bearcats head coach Brian Kelly left Cincinnati for Notre Dame earlier in December offensive coordinator Jeff Quinn will coach the team in the Sugar Bowl.
Unlike Florida, Cincinnati will be looking to win in order to spite deserter Kelly.
The Total for the Sugar Bowl is set at 57. In the Gators last seven games in the month of January, they have produced 6 Overs and 1 Under.
