In the birth are the astrology houses. These houses are found in the inner circle of the birth chart and are numbered 1-12. Each of these houses represents different areas of life. These houses are the divisions of the sky above and below the birthplace as indicated on the horizon at the time of your birth. These houses tell of the characteristics of a person expressed through the activities and experiences in our lives. These will be revealed by the signs the houses cover and the planets in them.
The first house is considered the most important and sensitive in the horoscope. This house tells of the persons self-awareness, how one assimilates experiences, and how s/he responds to outside stimuli. The second house, on the other hand, tells of ones ability to earn money. On the fifth house is how people do creative expressions an the inner child. It is concerned about the arts as another way of expressing the self. Another interesting thing about this house is that it tells of ones attitude towards children, in particular the attitude towards parenting ones own child/children.
The work and the kind of job one is drawn to is expressed by the sixth house. It also tells of how one relates the self with the colleagues at work. For the seventh house, it talks of ones personal relationships and the peoples own reactions to ones own actions.
For the eighth house, money as a result of combined efforts is given highlight. Examples would be inherited money, taxes, or conjugal. It also talks about death of the body and the things that are associated with it. Some of these are funerals, wills, and legacies.
As indicated by the ninth house, things associated with the higher mind are revealed. This also includes travel and collectivistic thought structures. For the tenth house, ones ability to succeed or fail in life in connection to social and economic station is given focus. This is also concerned about how one carries responsibilities and reputation.
The eleventh house is about ones group creative expression, an opposite of the fifth house. It talks about how one forms friendships and associations. The last house, the twelfth, is about psychological health in relation to others. This rules the subconscious mind and tells of the individuals emotions.
