subject: American Students Declare War To Obesity: Success Or Failure? [print this page]

It is evident that many American students, both girls and boys, suffer from obesity. The reasons of why some many students are already obese differ considerably: genetics, wrong nutrition, inabilities to take exercises regularly, student laziness, lack of time, McDonalds visits, etc. It does not actually matter how you become obese. The main point is what you are going to do to overcome this problem and whether you are sure of the effectiveness of your actions.

Students try to pay much attention to the problem of obesity, and the vast majority of methods are reliable indeed.

1.Exercise is one of the best ways in preventing the rapid growth of obesity in America (Morgan Spurlock)

Of course, physical trainings are important in the life of every student. However, not every student is able to find enough time to take the exercises regularly. This is why students try to encourage each other:

1). College media informs about the dangers of obesity and introduces a number of effective methods;

2). Sports clubs provide students with opportunities to go in for sports for free;

3). Girls organizations promote healthy style of life among their members.

2.Obesity is not gluttony (George Blackburn)

Then, what is obesity? Almost all dictionaries define obesity as a medical condition. This is why students should solve this problem from the medical perspective at first. Proper treatment is required, and college medical centers are always ready to help students who require this help. Do not be afraid to admit the fact that you have some problems with your health, do not afraid to underline that you are obese. Only in case you recognize the problem, you have chances to solve it.

As a rule, each problem should have a solution. And when you are a student, you have any kind of support to solve your problems and forget about obesity. Just start doing something!
