This can help your body begin to heal itself and get it working properly again. This may cause a good deal of discomfort and stiffness that the therapist may want to address. So that this discomfort can be minimized a therapist may have you spend time in a hydrotherapy tub so that the water can soothe your sore muscles and joints. Other pain relieving methods may include the use of an ultrasound device or the use of massage or heat in order to get rid of pain and stiffness.

If you are being referred to a physiotherapist it can be one of the best steps you can take to getting back on your feet and recovering more completely. You may even find that depending on what your condition is you may be able to work on your own and check in with a therapist from time to time in order to have your progress monitored and any necessary adjustments may be made to allow you to continue your progress.
