Sherri Lynn will be singing at the gospel variety program held at the Olive Hill Historical Society, (old high school) at 7 pm. Come join us for a night of Praise and Worship in Jesus Name! Blessings!

The event will take place at Olive Hill High School on October 16 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. located at 120 Comet Drive in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Admission is $5 at the door, and singers will include Sherri Lynn Rakes, Morgan McGlone, Madison Harris, Samantha & Veronica Yaeckel, the 1st Baptist Ladies' Ensemble, and others.

Sherri Lynn Won The "EIA Platinum Female EIA Award Artist/Writer of 2009" Award for A song she wrote called: "His Will Be Done", on June 27, 2009 in Nashville, TN.

She is a singer, songwriter, writer of poems, and short Stories. Sherri Lynn has been singing since age 5 and her first gig was age 7 at a wrestling match during half time. Her father was a professional wrestler in the 70's for WWF, by the name of "The Booger Man."

Over the years Sherri Lynn has performed many different places such as schools, churches in many states, The Founders Inn, 700 Club Ball Room, Ryman Auditorium, Fundraisers, Poages Landing Days in Ashland KY, The Mini-Marathon 500 Festival in Indiana, Nashville Palace, John A's in Nashville, WTCR, The Dawg Radio Stations and Jayco Masters Dinner, Olive Hill Historical Society. She also had her own television show called "The Vision" in 1999, was on other television programs to sing at channel 61.

Then between 2000-2004 she was on 13 different prescription medicine that the doctors put her on. Sherri Lynn had two separate accidents and the drugs was destroying her life and God helped her get off all medicine.

Not only was she recovering from two accidents, Sherri Lynn was still healing from throat surgery she had in 1999 for two tumors on her thyroid gland, one was the size of a gulfball and the other almost the size of a softball.

Sherri said "Jesus protected me and the Doctor told me I may never be able to sing again. Jesus helped me through."

Sherri Lynn added "I hope to Inspire others with my music and testimonies of how Jesus Christ has inspired me especially in my toughest times in life."

Sherri Lynn is donating money from CD and T-shirt sales to feed the children in the United States and helping flood victims in Olive Hill KY, and Carter County if possible.

"We can all help make a difference in the world even if it is just helping one person at a time, please join me you can make a difference," she said.

Sherri Lynn has a CD that was released in 2009 called "All That I Need" and just finished a song she wrote called "Reach Out" that is about the hard times Americans are going through. She hopes to help others with the sales from her projects. "Reach out" was released on 9/30/2010 and sold at her web site where you can also read her mission and testimony.

Sherri Lynn is still working on her new CD called "The Stand" that will be finished soon. Sherri Lynn wrote all ten songs on the new cd.
