subject: I Believe I Can Fly [print this page] Although lots of living creatures can fly, man was chained to the earth for thousands of years. Flying is everybodys cream. Flying, however, was not possible until the beginning of the century. One cold December morning in 1903 two Wright American brothers rose from the sand of North Carolina, making human flight a reality.
However, man has tried to fly like birds since ancient times. In the seventies of the last century, people become interested in gliders. They climbed up the hills and leapt into space, gliding along mountain slopes.
At the turn of this century, man did succeed in realizing his old dream. Before long some brave young men tried to power the glider, adding a small engine and a propeller to it. They are sold as kits and one can assemble the aircraft manually with simple hand tools. Flying has thus become a popular sport.
Have you remembered a song by R.Kelly called I believe I can fly? Indeed, flying is mans oldest dream, because everyone wants to conquer something to prove that he is strong and he can do it. I like the song very much. Here is the voice within my heart.
