The lining of the stomach is a very sensitive part of the body and indigestion indicates the lining is under stress. This is usually caused by the foods we eat and it is important to eliminate such foods from our diet. These foods are the types that are acid forming and contain a high percentage of saturated fats. Any acid is a corrosive chemical that attacks the lining of your stomach and this causes the discomfort you feel.

For example, those who lead stressful lives usually eat while on the go, grabbing a sandwich or a bag of crisps between business meetings. Stop this bad habit and force yourself to sit down while eating. Use this time as your own which, means you do not waste this time worrying about what needs to be done. Use this time to focus on what and how you eat and do it in a relaxed and calm manner. You will feel so much better for it, as a calm mind is a calm stomach.

Do not gulp down your food. Take the time to chew it properly that, is why you two rows of teeth so, use them. Chew your food until it is a smooth consistency and then swallow. People do not realize that the lining of the stomach and digestive tract can be easily be scratched by hard undigested food. Go easy on them and chew your food.
