subject: Cozy On Up With Seo And Your Customers May Just Thank You Later [print this page]

I've grown tired, probably like you have, of sifting through the same marketing regimens (radio ads, local newspaper ads, standard mail, etc.). What's the point when everyone's online?

I'm not here to sound like the late, great Billy Mays or some of the other famous advertising gurus out there. I'd rather let you in on the how Search Engine Optimization, or SEO the acronym lovers out there, is the next best thing for your business. First things first, SEO isn't just one sole entity, but rather a chain of helpful tools to push your product visibility further up Google's shiny rankings.

From these tools, you must decide which one(s) are more beneficial to you and your clientele. While there are certainly more resources out there, here are a few of my all-time favorite online marketing strategies to begin with:

1. Email Marketing To Infinity And Beyond!: Aside from the obvious "Toy Story" reference, gathering potentially millions of client email accounts for your product promotion is a great starting point. Just make sure that your emails are both of the custom-made design ilk and the content inside each one is fresh and engaging. No one wants to read an email that's been duplicated from some other awful campaign. Focus your creative efforts towards each individual email, and you'll start to develop a longer lasting bond with your clientele. That's the beauty of email marketing is it's potential is greater than you can imagine. But, please avoid rapid, daily distributions of your email campaign because no one likes a spammer.

2. A Website That Makes You Want To Dance: Web Design is obviously critical on many fronts, but the one that really matters the most is the accessibility of your site. With SEO magic, your website layout can be given a keyword rich face lift, allowing your searchers to possibly find you with relative ease. Plus, having a custom-made website is a luxury many amateur sites (like those of your competitors, maybe?) don't have.

3. Keyword Nirvana: As I touched on with the previous point, keywords are your best friend in SEO. Not only that, but geo-targeting your audience alongside that keyword is even better. I'd recommend you start studying up on helpful tools like Word Tracker or Google AdWords to get the ball rolling. Pinpoint the most searched keywords in relation to your business, and you just may have connected your customer's keyboard into your website (metaphorically speaking).

That's just a sample of what SEO has to offer your business. Granted, SEO will take a few more days longer to fully realize itself with the search engine, but like fine wine, it only gets better with age.
