Time management is not just for something on the job, though that may be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about it. It is, of course, just as important to think about personal time management, because when you deal with that, you reduce stress, among other benefits. Here are five different ways in which to deal with this issue.

1. Friends

Don't make the mistake so many people are prone to. In other words, don't let the hours devoted to work make you deprive yourself of the company of your friends. When you hang out with friends, you are doing something good for yourself. So keep this in mind and schedule some time for lunch or for a movie with your friends on a weekly basis.

2. Family

There is no question about the fact that your family is your family for your entire life. Members of your family have an important role to play, so make sure you participate properly. Such as calling a brother or sister to see how they are doing. Call your mom or dad as well. Spend time with family whenever you can and cherish those times, too.

3. Exercise

It may not seem like an important thing to factor in exercise to keep good personal time management on hand. But the fact of the matter is that just giving this a priority for 30 minutes on most days of a week can add tremendous value to your ability to keep healthy. And to get rid of stress, another important factor in your life.

4. Diet

Personal time management needs to keep an eye on what you eat, because the old saying that you are what you it has a lot going for it. So make sure that you plan your meal times in a reasonable fashion. For example, it's better to eat five small meals during a day than to serve yourself three big ones. And eating too fast isn't healthy either. So take time with your meals, you will be better off for your efforts.

5. Fun

Finally, fun is an important aspect of good personal time management. This has to do with lots of things, like a social life. You can't just work 24/7 and have a decent life. You need to take time to smell the roses and to enjoy the company of your friends and family members. Plan times for eating out, for going to the movies and the like. Keep your life on an enjoyable level. It's really important.
