subject: Uscis Standardizes Process For Accommodating Requests From The Disabled [print this page]

A streamlined and standardized process for processing requests seeking for accommodation from customers with disabilities has been setup by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS.) The newly updated process offers a central point of contact for customers requesting accommodations. Across the country, customers with disabilities can call the National Customer Service Center at TDD: 1-800-767-1833 or at 1-800-375-5283. This move has been aimed at improving the quality of service for disabled persons seeking accommodation for attending USCIS events and scheduling appointments to meet up with USCIS officials.

USCIS offices have always provided the best services for its disabled customers. In line with their business practices and federal law, this newly restructured process provides disabled customers with an optimistic experience. With one toll-free phone call, they can request for accommodation with the USCIS offices. This way, they will face minimal hassles when they want to attend an event or schedule an appointment with the USCIS.

At any convenient time, a disabled customer can call the National Customer Service Center hotline to request for accommodation. This efficient procedure to request accommodation can be of utmost help to those disabled customers who want to attend an event hosted by USCIS or those customers who would like to setup an appointment to meet with USCIS.

If the customer has an application that relates with an appointment, such as an Application Support Centers (ASC) or an interview appointment, then theyd have to wait for the appointment notice prior to making a request for accommodation. Once they receive an appointment notification, they are free to put in a request for accommodation through the NCSC hotline. USCIS direct those customers who require accommodations at asylum offices to contact the asylum offices directly and not through the NCSC toll free number.
