Here are some weight loss tips for women that will help you lose those first 5 pounds:

1. Add 6-8 glasses of water to your daily routine and don't let a day go without this important part.

Most people don't realize just how essential water is to helping you lose weight, feel energized, and stay properly hydrated. For a lot of people, it is rare that they have even 1 or 2 glasses of pure water throughout the day, let alone 6-8. Just make sure that you space them throughout the day, as you don't want to introduce all of it to your body all at once. And you can use water as a replacement for soft drinks, which can eliminate several hundred calories per day.

2. Get your fiber intake up to 25 grams per day.

It's kind of a surprise for a lot of people to put fiber and weight loss together, but when you are careful to get the right amount of fiber, it can be a big boost to help you lose weight. Fiber can help you to feel fuller for longer periods throughout the day, and that can help to keep you from reaching for those unhealthy snacks throughout the day. It can also help in other ways as well.

3. Give yourself a regular schedule of exercise and don't relent from it.

You probably know that exercise is a must for losing weight and keeping the weight off. The problems that most people will run into, is that they end up picking a boring routine, or one that they cannot keep up with on a regular basis. Getting yourself an exercise bicycle, a treadmill, an elliptical machine can be a good way to give yourself an exercise routine that you can handle and stick with for the long term. 90 minutes a week, in 3 30 minute spurts, can be more than enough to help you lose the first 5 pounds and more importantly, keep that weight off.
