The Acer Stream has a 5 megapixel camera capable of video recording in 720 pixel High Definition resolution at 24 frames per second, which can be played back on the handset or instantly shared with social networks such as Facebook or Twitter. Additionally, it has a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen with multi-touch input.

The handset runs the Android Eclair (2.1) operating system, which is upgradable and powered by a Qualm Snapdragon 1 Gigahertz processor and 512 megabytes random access emory. It also has a 3.5mm jack connector for standard headphones to be connected to enjoy music on the music player which is supported by dedicated music keys and sound enhanced by Dolby Mobile technology for optimum audio output. The handset also features an integrated stereo FM radio with RDS support for live news and music. The phone has threaded view SMS (text) messaging along with multimedia messaging and full email support with push notification to instantly be informed of a new email message.
