You know if you think of it, the times where you are not thinking are the times you're really happy. Maybe you're just lying back on the beach or engaged in an activity that's very relaxing for you or you just space out, you're just in a happy place. After making love or being with your child or something that was very meaningful for you. And in that moment where you can just completely let go and let your worries go and there's peace.
So happiness is your natural state, this joy and happiness and peace is what we come in to the world as spirit and that our mind creates all these layers that ought to escape that light, kind of like the imprints, pain and suffering, our opinions, our desires, layer upon layer, kind of dimming that light within us.
But the beautiful thing is once you've realized that that's all those things are, that there is mental programming and they really have nothing to do with you, there's like a context shift, you're making you're life, where all a sudden you just look at your mind as an instrument and then you're not as subjugated by the troubles of the mind and senses, you gain an empowerment over the mind. And that's where the real happiness begins.
