subject: Ripped Chest Guide - How To Building An Incredible Chest [print this page]

If you desire a ripped chest get ready to work hard for it. Your chest muscles are the largest muscles on your body. Unfortunately, this means you must work harder to strengthen and tone them. Unlike biceps or triceps, which can be strengthened or toned using one or two exercises, your chest must be stimulated from multiple angles. Fortunately, the exercises required to achieve this are not very complicated and with a little perseverance and hard work, the chest of your dreams can be achieved.

In order to attain a ripped chest, you must be aware of the fact that muscles eventually adapt to your workout routine. When this happens, you will hit a plateau in your ability to gain muscle and get ripped. This is why it is important that you switch up your routine. Also, you must be sure that you are using the right sized weights for maximum achievement. A weight that is too light will not challenge you enough and a weight that is too heavy will not allow you to properly do the exercise and may even hurt you.

Ok. Let's talk about exercises. There are plenty of exercises that you can do to get a ripped chest. The first, and most basic, is the push up. It's a simple exercise, but it's terribly effective. Make sure to vary the speed at which you raise and lower yourself, and do your best to slow at the top of the rep and at the bottom, and you'll see your chest explode! Use your body weight as resistance at first. Obviously, the heavier you are, the better your results will be! To increase the difficulty (and the effectiveness) try using a medicine ball in your workout.

Another great exercise for getting a ripped chest is the incline dumbbell press. As the name implies, for this exercise you will need an incline bench and two dumbbells. Once you have acquired these things, lay flat on the bench and lift the dumbbells towards the ceiling until your arms are almost fully extended. Then slowly lower them back down. Then repeat for another seven or eight reps.

When working out with the goal of getting a ripped chest, make sure you concentrate on the angles. Incline presses and decline presses work the top and bottom of your chest, respectively. You'll need both areas to really round out your pecks.

Ultimately, there is no one way of doing chest correctly. A lot of it depends on your body chemistry and your exercises. If you plateau, change up your exercises. If you don't, keep doing what's working for you!
