subject: 3 Key Principles To Recruit Your Network Marketing Team [print this page]

If you are considering joining a network marketing company or just getting started with one, then you probably already know that recruiting more people into your organization and building your team is the bread and butter of your business. Of course you will earn money marketing the product or service that the company offers, but a majority of network marketing companies structure the compensation plan so that you will get rich from recruiting more marketers- if you ever get rich. The power of duplication in combination with residual income you create will fatten your pockets, your uplines' pockets and company founders and CEOs. Ideally, it is a win-win situation for everyone- where everyone accomplishes their goals and build the lives of their dreams.

So if recruiting more people to join your team within your network marketing company is the key to you achieving all you want for yourself and your family, then let's take a look at the 3 key principles of recruiting and team building.

1. Exposure is everything.

Exposure is just as it sounds, getting your prospects in front of the information so that they can make an informed decision. Whoever exposes the most people, the right way, makes the most money. In a sense, you are leaving one rat race to join another race. However in the network marketing race, you build your own dreams and not only another person's dreams. You want to get as many prospects as possible in front of the company information as you can.

Like all sales, network marketing is a numbers game. Some will be interested and some will not. Some will make a decision immediately and others will need more time. You help guide them in their decision making process through exposures to the business, to the community, to the training and support that they will receive once on your team. Some people will require 5 to 7 exposures before they will buy or join. Do not worry, that is a part of the process. Just keep them in front of the information and stay in communication with them.

2. Fortune is in the follow-up.

There is no sense in exposing people to your network marketing company opportunity if you do not follow-up with them. You must promptly and effectively follow-up with them. For example, if you put your prospect on a live call or they attend an event, speak to them immediately once it is over. You should get scripts from your sponsor on what to say to follow-up with them effectively after they have received information on the opportunity. Use their tested and proven scripts. Again, do not worry if they do not join immediately. Recruiting typically takes a series of exposures to get an answer.

3. Work with the willing.

Professionals sort, amateurs convince. Your job is to sort through the people who are coachable, willing to work and have a burning desire to change the quality of their lives. These are the people you will invest your time with. You will meet many talkers, but few walkers.

If you stick to these three key principles when recruiting people to join your team with your network marketing company, you will find your team growing exponentially. Have a line-up of exposure options for your guests, follow-up with them and only invest your time in the people who are serious.
